Bitty is an introduction to cheerleading for Kindergartners. During this 5-week clinic, they will learn basic arm movements used in cheers and chants. The athletes will then learn a series of simple chants that they will take with them through the youth cheer program. Team building skills are taught through simple games and then applied during a 30 second dance routine. The chants learned, along with the dance, will be showcased at a high school JV football or basketball game. Every athlete that participates will receive a t-shirt and bow that is worn at the showcase. Practice days and times for the clinics will be at the discretion of our volunteer coaches.
Registration for our Winter Session is now open! Fee is $65 – Spots are limited. We are excited that our Amherst Junior High Cheerleaders will be assisting with teaching this program!
Bitty Registration includes 6 week clinic, t-shirt, and bow. Program is for upcoming 2025-2026 Kindergarteners zoned in the Amherst School District.
Practice Dates are Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30 at the Main Street Amherst building on Park Avenue. Dates for practices are: January 14th, 21st, 28th & February 4th, 11th, & 18th. Showcase will be on Saturday, February 21st at the halftime of the 7th-8th grade basketball game(Arrive at Amherst Junior High at 2:30 PM)
